Getting Started
How do I track my symptoms?
From the Today dashboard, tap the "+" button or "Log Symptoms." You can choose from over 40 common menopause symptoms, set severity levels, note the time of day, and add personal notes. You can also create custom symptoms that are unique to your experience.
How do I add my medications?
Go to the Medications tab and tap "Add Medication." Enter your medication name, dosage, and schedule. Calda supports HRT, supplements, and any other medications you'd like to track. You can set reminders so you never miss a dose.
How do I use the Today dashboard?
The Today dashboard is your home screen — it shows a snapshot of your day at a glance. You'll see your logged symptoms, upcoming medication reminders, and any insights Calda has generated. Think of it as your daily wellness check-in.
Privacy & Data
Where is my data stored?
Your health data is stored only on your device. It never leaves your iPhone and is never transmitted to our servers. This is a core promise of Calda, and it will never change.
How do I export my data?
You can generate a PDF health report from the Reports section of the App. This report includes your symptom history, medication log, and relevant Apple Health data — perfect for sharing with your healthcare provider.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings > Data Management > Delete All Data. This will permanently remove all health data from your device. This action cannot be undone. If you also have a community account, you can delete that separately from Settings > Account.
Is my data shared with anyone?
No. Your health data is never shared with anyone — not with us, not with advertisers, not with third parties. The only data that leaves your device is community posts you choose to publish, and your anonymous, non-health-related app analytics (which you can opt out of).
Subscriptions
What's included in free vs. premium?
Free (forever): Symptom tracking, medication management, the Today dashboard, medication reminders, and basic reports.
Premium ($9.99/month or $79.99/year): Everything in Free, plus AI-powered insights, advanced symptom pattern analysis, Apple Health correlations, detailed PDF reports, and priority support.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Your subscription is managed through Apple. To cancel or change your plan:
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find Calda and tap it.
- Choose Cancel Subscription or change your plan.
You can also manage subscriptions directly at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
How do I restore my purchases?
If you reinstalled Calda or got a new device, go to Settings > Subscription > Restore Purchases. This will restore your active subscription using your Apple ID. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
Account
How do I sign in?
Calda uses Apple Sign-In. When prompted, tap "Continue with Apple" and follow the on-screen instructions. You can choose to share or hide your email address — either way works perfectly.
Do I need an account?
No. An account is only needed if you want to participate in the Calda Community. All core features — symptom tracking, medication management, insights, and reports — work without an account.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This removes your community profile and all associated posts. Your on-device health data is not affected — that stays on your device unless you separately choose to delete it.
Community
How does moderation work?
All community posts and comments are reviewed by AI moderation before they become visible to other members. Content that may violate our Community Guidelines is automatically flagged and may be held for review or removed. This helps keep Calda a safe and supportive space for everyone.
How do I report content?
If you see a post or comment that concerns you, tap the three-dot menu on the post and select "Report." Choose the reason for your report and submit. Our team reviews all reports and takes action as needed.
